Ok Nam LEE uses strips of Korean paper soaked in red, blue, yellow, or green pigments, or thin paper cuttings from newspapers, glued together to form a tight spiral—creating a circle that can reach up to 70 cm in diameter.
A cumulative layering of time, each coil tells a shared story, one we all live.
Each daily strip, joined end to end, becomes a ribbon of approximately 1,400 meters, representing just as many days—about six years of daily life hidden within each work.
