Son Seok describes his work “ by the figure and the relief background supporting it, by appearance and disappearance as one moves around it to fully appreciate its rendering, one dimension is pictorial, but the other is dimensional.”
Seock Son’s art works are indeed both sculptures and paintings, his bladed support calls for a subtle mix of lightning to enrich the pigments, cause interferences , reveal hidden motives.
Soeck SON is a Korean artist, born in 1955, holding three Master in Fine Art from Hongik University in Seoul, two masters from Paris Sorbonne ( Aesthetics and Philosophy) and from Paris 8 . He exhibited at Artskoco gallery Luxembourg , in Paris at the following galleries: Mark Hachem , in Brussels at Mazel Galerie, In Korea at the Insa Art Center, the Gana gallery in Seoul, and the Clayarch Museum, Gimhae.
Living in the Paris region, his works are listed on the contemporary art market, at auctions since 2004, mainly at Christie’s and Seoul Auctions.
