Secret Gardens is a 2011 to 2023 retrospective from the protographer Chang Ki Chung.
Starting as a fashion photographer in 1990 Chang Ki, becomes a portraitist for Korean President Roe. In 1993 he moved from hectic Seoul to devote himself to a naturalist black and white art photography like his masters, Edward Weston and Ansel Adams.
In 1999, Chang Ki began taking color photographs, of flowers, and fruits, alternating colour and black and white series, the latter built around the fruit of knowledge, the apple. In 2020 Chang Ki focused on the precarious balance of minerals, coal pieces in an almost abstract performance.
